OAKBANK School and its feeder primary schools are winners on the Sainsbury’s National School Games website.

The Oakbank School Sport Partnership has achieved 100 per cent sign-up and registration for the 2013/14 season.

There are more than 400 partnerships across the UK and the national registration average is currently 75 per cent.

School games organiser Steve Bell said his team were very proud of the achievement.

He said: “We work with 36 primary, five secondary, and two special schools in our school games area.

“We also have 90 per cent of our schools actively participating in inter-school competitions compared to the national average of 60 per cent.”

Oakbank has this year doubled the number of primary schools gaining the prestigious National Kitemark Awards , nearly St Anne’s, Holycroft, Eastwood, Steeton, Ingrow, Hothfield, St Stephen’s, Oakbank, Haworth and Oakworth.
