TEACHING assistant Fazal Khan has retired after 25 years at a Keighley primary school.
Mr Khan has performed a number of roles during his time at Eastwood, from working in the office and as a bilingual teacher to coordinating free fruit and vegetables for pupils.
"I am looking forward to my retirement but I will deeply miss working at Eastwood," he said.
"It has been an honour to work here and I've loved every moment of it.
"I have developed a positive relationship with all the staff, children and parents.
"My son and daughters have all studied at Eastwood and I am proud that the school has provided the foundations for their future and given them a platform to further their studies."
Mr Khan said some of his children were also pursuing careers in teaching.
One of his daughters, Farah Malik, is currently completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Education at Oakbank School in Keighley and two other children aspire to become teachers.
"Eastwood has taught me that teaching is a most rewarding career and it is wonderful that I have been able to inspire my children," he added.
Mr Khan was presented with a plaque by the school.
