SIXTH-formers at a Keighley school have chalked up a record-breaking half-term.
Unprecedented numbers of year 13 students at Oakbank were given unconditional offers from universities.
And charity fundraising has coined-in hundreds of pounds.
Many tutor groups have raised money for selected charities in addition to the school houses' nominated causes – the NSPCC, Oxfam, Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice Manorlands and The Principle Trust.
More than £150 was raised for Manorlands by 6RC when students baked and sold wares within the school, and they staged a football tournament to further boost coffers.
Also, eighteen year 12 students have had the opportunity to apply for a shadowing scheme at Cambridge University, when they would spend three days attending seminars and lectures with undergraduates.
"This scheme is an excellent one which aims to raise aspirations of sixth-form students and give them a taster of life at university," said a school spokesman.
"All in all, this has been another successful half-term for Oakbank sixth form and we are looking forward with excitement to 2015."
A sixth-form open evening is being staged on January 22, when Oakbank pupils and others will have the chance to find out what will be on offer from September.
