OAKBANK students have improved their literacy skills and netted some top footballing prizes.
Year-seven students at the Keighley school took part in a 'literacy league', featuring registration-time quiz sessions.
Four finalists then went head-to-head in a concluding quiz, in a packed assembly hall.
Overall winner was Aysha Kamran, who was presented with a signed football by special guests, Bradford City co-chairman Mark Lawn and midfielder Matt Dolan.
Runners-up received City scarves.
Linda Tomlinson-Askham, year seven progress manager, said: "The students really enjoyed taking part.
"It has helped them improve their literacy skills, which has transferred to other subjects.
"We were very lucky to have our two special guests at the final – it really added to the atmosphere.
"I would like to thank all the Oakbank staff who were involved in the project and the students, who were awesome!"
After the final, the visitors answered questions from pupils.
