Parkside School student Eliza Findlay is representing Bradford district in the West Yorkshire Cross Country championships.
The year nine student was chosen for the event after winning the Bradford Schools Junior Girls cross country race.
Sophie Moulden, Jake Dowdon, Aaron Greenwood and Mason Mirzaali also did well in the Bradford Schools competition.
The youngsters are among 15 Parkside students who train every Monday in and around the school in all weathers.
They have taken part in the Keighley and Craven cross-country series, based mainly at Cliffe Castle, which finished last month.
Team spokesman Paul Calderbank said: “Competition in some races was very high, with many of the winners running regularly with Keighley and Bingley clubs, and our students should be pleased with their performances.”
Two year seven teams ran earlier this year in the Malsis School cross-country race, facing strong competition from pupils of many private schools across the North.
