THERE WAS tee for more than two as Parkside School students took part in special golf sessions.
The group spent 10 weeks on the All Teed Up programme as part of a sport and personal development studies.
The group included boys from year nine, and other students from the Designated Support Provision (DSP).
Andy Watmuff, a PGA golf coach, said: “The repetition in golf helps our DSP students to learn new life and work skills by looking at risk assessments and accounts in relation to running a golf club.
“The course develops the wider skills and abilities of students so they can transfer these to the classroom to maximise their performance.
“It also provides them with the ideal opportunity to gain an additional qualification while continuing to study the core subjects.”
In a recent assembly at Parkside School, in Cullingworth, 27 year nine students were awarded Easter eggs in recognition of 100 per cent attendance at school since September.
