PARKSIDE school students hope to put the brakes on dangerous driving in Cullingworth.
Students who are members of the Cullingworth Village Youth Council met with parish councillors to discuss traffic problems.
They suggested ways to combat traffic congestion around the village, especially in the streets surrounding Parkside and the Cullingworth Primary School.
The Youth Council members last year worked with children from the primary school to build six planter boxes for various locations around village.
They have now built a further 22 planter boxes, and the students have written to local businesses and garden centres asking for donations of seeds or sponsorship.
Plaques will these be designed to go on each of the planters, explaining that they are the work of the two Cullingworth schools.
