A Keighley school’s cookery club has proved such a big hit with pupils that it has accumulated a substantial waiting list.
The club at Holy Family Catholic School is run by Sheila Hastings and meets after school hours each Wednesday.
Holy Family deputy head Damian Moore explained: “The club’s members make many different dishes and cuisines, with this week seeing curry on the menu.
“We’ve had 15 staff members being attracted to the cookery room by the smell, including science teacher Nick Eyes!
“The pupils’ parents usually pick their children up at 5.30pm, and the food the children have cooked at the club then becomes a perfect meal for their family supper.
“Usually there is a four-month waiting list to join the club, as we can only fit in 10 students at a time.”
