KEIGHLEY parents and young people are being urged to attend the district's next Public Forum for Education.

The event, on June 24, will examine latest developments in the groundbreaking Born in Bradford programme.

The initiative was set-up in 2007 to discover more about the causes of childhood illness.

It is tracking the lives of 13,500 babies and their families and will provide information for studies across the world.

The forum, which is also open to practitioners and anyone with an interest in the Born in Bradford project, takes place in the Banqueting Suite at Bradford's City Hall from 4.30pm to 6.30pm.

Admission is free.

Councillor Ralph Berry, Bradford Council's executive member for health and social care, said: "Born in Bradford is a unique programme that has gathered so much useful evidence.

"Being able to share the findings in this way can help us shape the services we provide and improve outcomes for children and young people."
