A FLASH mob helped give Crossflatts Primary School head Hilary Craven a good send-off on her retirement.
Staff members performed a dance routine to the hit song Uptown Funk in honour of Mrs Craven’s many years at the school.
The surprise dance came during the school’s annual Rose Day event when the head of governors was due to give a speech.
Mrs Craven has worked at the school for many years and has been the head for 14 years.
This year’s Rose King and Queen were Henry Thirkill and Amaara Khan, and the attendants were Bronwyn Carter, Ted Simpson, Adam Hickey and Star Greenham.
On the evening of Rose Day the Parent Teachers Association organised a fun-packed event including stalls, disco, art gallery, barbecue and bouncy castle.
School spokesman Rebecca Atkinson said: “All the money raised goes back into the school to purchase equipment that has been requested by the children.”
