A TEACHER who sportingly agreed to have tins of beans tipped onto her for charity featured in a summer fair organised by year seven pupils at South Craven School.
The event was held to raise money for Manorlands and the RAF Association, with each form responsible for planning and organising their own stall.
Joanna Seng boldly volunteered to be the victim of the "Can the teacher" event.
A spokesman for the school said: "Over the course of the fair, Joanna had many tins of beans poured over her.
"At 50 pence a go – tin of beans included – her stall soon racked up the money, and at the end of the day, Year 7 had raised over £151.
"The fair was so popular that the pupils are hoping to make it an annual event, and volunteers for having tins of beans poured over them may have to form an orderly queue.
"The afternoon also included tag rugby, a penalty shootout, a chocolate tombola, sponge the teacher and a chocolate fountain. But the most popular stall was definitely 'can the teacher'!"
