CONONLEY Primary School has unveiled its new adventure playground.

It has been designed by members of the school council in partnership with Paul Kavanagh from Cononley-based Pennine Playground.

The idea for a new playground came after its previous equipment was deemed unsafe due to rot.

The children were involved with planning the project and making sure that all the equipment and costings were within budget.

Higher level teaching assistant Diane Daniel, who meets with school council weekly, said: "It has been a fantastic experience for the children. They have really taken ownership. The children in the school had been asking for a new adventure playground and it has happened.

"Pupil voice at Cononley is very strong and as a school we believe it is important that they know that their voice is heard and put into action."
