PIZZA rather than Christmas dinner was on the menu for high-achieving pupils at Parkside School.
The Cullingworth school held a Pizza Party for 10 students each from year seven, eight and nine, who had scored the most achievement points.
The school later held a film afternoon as a reward for all students who had achieved 100 per cent attendance for the term.
During last week of term several reward assemblies took place, with prizes given for various categories, highest achievement points, and time spent on the Sam computer learning system.
in a separate initiative, the school invited representatives from AWARE, the Airedale & Wharfedale Autism Resource, and the Autism Support Team.
They attended an informal coffee morning to chat with parents about services offered through their support group.
The school will hold another coffee morning next term for parents of children with special needs.
