KILDWICK School's boys' football team was on the ball, winning the area finals of the North Yorkshire Games at Playfootball, in York.
The youngsters will now progress to the regional finals, representing York City, which are held at Morecambe in March.
The boys won three games to progress to the final where they played Hunmanby School and won 2-0.
Coach Andrew Mitchell was delighted with the performances throughout the tournament as the boys had only conceded one goal in 14 matches.
Clare Smurthwaite, the boys' teacher, said that every player had given 100 per cent in every minute of every game.
The team comprised Ashley Painter, Charlie Mitchell, Logan Brown, Max Riddiough, Max Hibbert (keeper), Max Robinson, Rhys Troake, and Wilf Roberts (captain).
