UNIVERSITY Academy Keighley student Janed Hussain is a charity curry champ!
Janed came second in the World Curry Festivals’ Junior Curry Chef of the Year competition in summer 2014.
He has been weaving his culinary magic again, this time for charity, to raise money for the Children in Need appeal.
Janed cooked a curry with bhaji and samosas for staff and members of his tutor group at the Beechliffe school, with everyone giving a donation.
A school spokesman said: “There wasn't a single mouthful left and everyone agreed it was a great curry!”
The money raised from the meal was added to money raised during the run-up to last year’s BBC Children in Need night, making a total of £1,002.
Fundraising activities last autumn included a non-uniform day, and a lunchtime party including games and karaoke.
