Glusburn Community Primary School has its own table tennis star.

Hallie Fitton from year five won the North Yorkshire Schools’ table tennis individual championships in Harrogate earlier this month. (February).

She will now compete nationally in Wolverhampton in April.

Hallie takes part in the school’s weekly table-tennis club run by coach Noel Chipman, and has been playing for three years.

Hallie competed in Harrogate, at St John Fisher Catholic High School, against dozens of children from across the county.

Glusburn and pupils recently took part in the West Yorkshire Sportshall Athletics Trials at the Richard Dunn Sports Centre in Bradford.

Hannah Benson came first in the under-11s section of the contest on the high stepper.

Pupils from Glusburn recently competed in the South Craven Swimming Gala against children from primary schools in Cowling, Kildwick, Cononley, Sutton CP, Sutton CE, Lothersdale and Cowling.
