LESSONS are adding up for Long Lee Primary School pupils.
They created games as part of a maths competition.
Children across the school were invited to come-up with designs and over 60 youngsters – and their families – produced a range of creations.
The games were shared in classrooms initially to choose finalists and the school council selected overall winners.
Year-two pupil Kaya Medica and year five's Becky Bastain were victorious.
A special presentation assembly was held, attended by parents.
Rebecca Holland, the school's mathematics leader, said: "We are trying really hard to raise our children's enthusiasm for and achievement in maths.
"We want all our children to achieve the best possible outcomes and recognise that developing time each day to learning key facts such as times tables facts, doubles and halves is crucial."
School head Mrs Sue Holdsworth said: "We are really proud of the children's positive attitude and our maths scheme is proving to be a great success."
