ACHIEVEMENTS of students at Oakbank have been celebrated.

The Keighley school staged its prize evening, with 130 pupils receiving recognition in a variety of subjects.

Among the top performers were Gaynor Yates and Dominic Williamson, who each earned four prize nominations.

Guest speaker was former student Rebecca Mitchell, who for the past three years has worked in the costume department on TV and film productions.

Her work has mainly been on crime and period dramas.

The evening also featured musical performances from students.

Hannah Borkala, Oakbank's marketing and event officer, said: "The evening was very inspiring and it was lovely to see our students sharing their achievements with their peers, friends and family.

"We would like to say a big thank-you to Rebecca for a brilliant speech and for taking the time to come to speak to us.

"But as always our awesome students were the stars of the evening and we hope they enjoy their prizes."
