OAKBANK students have proved they're well versed with story writing.

Twelve year-seven pupils at the Keighley school took part in an online story continuation event.

And two students, Nuala McAleavy and Annabel Sale, were joint winners.

Well-known authors started a story and then pupils at participating schools across the UK continued it.

Prizes were on offer for top student contributions, as voted for by fellow participants.

Nuala and Annabel, who continued a story begun by author Eleanor Updale, each received a signed book and £10 voucher.

Hannah Borkala, marketing and event officer at Oakbank, said: "It is a fantastic achievement for Nuala and Annabel and we are very proud of them."
