A GIANT mural capturing the magic of local nature has been created at Crossflatts Primary School by some 200 of its pupils.
The children spent sessions drawing in nearby beauty spots under the watchful eyes of artist teachers Anne Taylor and Sharon Snaylam, who work on such projects with many district schools.
Pictured are some of the pupils with their images which inspired the finished work, which has been formally unveiled on a playground wall as part of the school's Rose Day art and music celebration.
"The kids were brilliant. They loved being outside, sketching and drawing and painted the final mural themselves," said Ms Taylor.
