KILDWICK Primary School pupils are joining more than 6,000 children from across Yorkshire at a major event to learn more about farming life.
Countryside Days take place on Tuesday and Wednesday (June 13/14) at the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate.
The free sessions, staged by Yorkshire Agricultural Society, include a range of interactive workshops.
There are also shows and demonstrations, covering everything from farm animals and machinery to ferret racing and dry stone walling.
Charles Mills, for the society, said: "Countryside Days are an important part of our work in educating the younger generations about agriculture.
"Some of the children may never have seen the type of animals we have here.
"We hold the Countryside Days every year and they are always oversubscribed, with waiting lists.
"This is just one strand of educational programmes run by the society and it is also a wonderful taster ahead of the Great Yorkshire Show next month."
