CHILDREN from Cullingworth Primary School have been learning about the housebuilding process.
Ninety youngsters, aged between five and seven, visited David Wilson Homes' Hewenden Ridge development in the village.
They were given a tour of the site, led by manager Andy Firth.
Pupils learned about the materials used and spoke to some of the bricklayers and joiners about their roles.
Year-three teacher, Laura Brown, said: "We've been learning about construction and building materials in our curriculum this term, so the children were really excited to visit Hewenden Ridge.
"It was a great visit that may inspire our young students to take-up a career in the construction industry one day!"
Curtis Sorren, a sales advisor at Hewenden Ridge, said the firm had enjoyed hosting the pupils.
"It was great to have them visiting our development and learning about the housebuilding process from Andy – we had a lot of fun!" he added.
"We're very happy to be able to work with local schools in this way."
