PUPILS from three schools took part in a team-building trip to the High Adventure activity centre at Cowling.

The youngsters – from years five and six at Cowling, Cononley and Kildwick primaries – spent a morning at the Keighley Road site.

They were put into mixed, ten-strong teams to tackle challenges including low ropes and to take part in climbing and teamwork games.

Kildwick headteacher, Tim Whitehead, said: "This was a perfect opportunity for the children to form new friendships before progressing on to South Craven School in September.

"All three schools are also registered for the Food for Life initiative and plan to establish a yearly event promoting a healthy lifestyle, including exercise and healthy eating."
