THE GREATEST villain from a galaxy far far away has given a big, big thank you to Keighley people.
Darth Vader took a break from his busy role fighting rebels to praise local cinema staff and customers for their generosity.
The black-masked bad guy greeted people watching the latest Star Wars film, Rogue One, during its first matinee screening at Keighley Picture House.
Filmgoers were able to pose for photographs with the Dark Lord, with donations raising £30 for Beechcliffe Special School in Utley.
The appearance was organised by the school’s support group, Friends At Braithwaite (FAB).
Vader has previously appeared at the Keighley school’s Superheroes and Super Cars charity days along with fellow Star Wars character Chewbacca.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is set soon before the original Star Wars film, from the 1970s, and follows rebels trying to steal the plans for the Death Star.
