Sarah Leanne Dugdale, 13, has been chosen as this year’s East Morton Gala Queen.
The Bingley Grammar School student, pictured, will lead the procession through the village, at 12.30pm, on July 12.
The gala has a Wild West theme this year, including a bucking bronco, line dancing, lasso and strongman competition.
These will run alongside traditional stalls, raffle, tombola, bouncy castles, children’s entertainer and baby, pet and cake competitions.
There will be a cowboy barbecue, saloon beer tent and gala teas, plus home-made cakes during the afternoon.
The event will end with children’s races and an egg throwing competition.
The gala is run by a small committee, which is appealing for helpers on the day.
Anyone who can offer their time, donate prizes or sponsor an event should phone Kathy Myers on 01274 567174, or John Foster on 01274 512838.
