SEA CADETS from across the North of England marched in Keighley to commemorate a famous naval victory.
Keighley’s Sea and Marine Cadets welcomed several other units to the annual Trafalgar Day Parade last Sunday.
The parade is held every year in a different city, with Keighley playing host once every seven years.
The cadets assembled in the Sainsbury’s car park for inspection, where VIP guests had been invited, including the Deputy Lord Lieutenant David Pearson.
The cadets then marched to St Anne’s Church in North Street for a service, and on to the town hall square to take the salute at the war memorial.
The Keighley cadets provided refreshments afterwards at their base in Waddington Street.
Trafalgar Day is held in honour of Admiral Lord Nelson's historic victory at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805.
The Keighley Sea and Marine Cadets regularly take part in parades, including Remembrance Day and Armed Forces Day, along with fundraising events for local causes.
