The residents of Glusburn and Cross Hills have been making their views known about a parish plan.
More than 1,800 parish plan questionnaires have been delivered to residents in the two villages in order to elicit their views on how to improve their environment.
To date more than 900 people have responded by returning the completed questionnaires to the Spar shop, the village post office or G E Thorntons.
Cross Hills and Glusburn made up one of the largest parishes in the country, said Chris Tomes, spokesman for the Parish Plan Steering Group.
He said: “There has been a fantastic response so far and we are keen to give residents a last chance to complete a questionnaire to get the response rate even higher.”
The official deadline to return the questionnaires was last Sunday but this has been extended until this Sunday for any late arrivals. Late entries can be completed online via the parish plan website or by visiting ppsurvey.icraven.co.uk.
Anyone requiring a spare paper copy of the questionnaire can collect one from the post office, in Cross Hills. There is also a junior survey for the under 11s.
Mr Tomes said: “I want to remind residents that this has been organised by an independent group of local people and the parish council and the district council will be adopting the resulting plan.”
