Fran obtained her Certificate in Education at Trinity and All Saints College, Horsforth, and an honours degree in literature and philosophy from the Open University.
Having taken early retirement from full-time primary teaching she now works regularly as a supply teacher in primary and special needs education.

His well-known piano skills have raised money for local groups and charities in and around Keighley.

"I feel very privileged to be standing for the Conservative Party in the forthcoming elections."
