Organisers of an autumn fair hope to draw crowds into Oxenhope Community Centre this Saturday.
Parish Councillor Penny Cusdin said: “This will give community groups an opportunity to fundraise. The Millennium Green Fete had to be cancelled due to bad weather, and we were aware that a lot of community groups used that as their major fundraising event for the year.
“We felt that having this fair would be something positive to offer the village. There’ll be plenty going on and we’re hoping for a good turnout.”
The event runs from 10.30am to 3.30pm and will include stalls, a tombola and teas. There will also be a chance for people to find out about the village’s new community website.
Coun Cusdin said: “The site is being developed and funded by the parish council, but this is happening in conjunction with a working party from the village.
“We want it to serve as a 21st-century noticeboard.”
