Keighley’s free Christmas Day bus service was once again just the ticket for the public.

Nearly 600 passengers used the service, which linked the town with Worth Valley villages and Airedale Hospital.

Two 50-year-old vehicles, a London Routemaster double-decker and Halifax Corporation single-decker, were in operation on Tuesday.

“Numbers built during the day and it was very busy in the afternoon,” said Graham Mitchell, former chairman of Keighley Bus Museum Trust which ran the service.
