Motorist is cut free

A motorist had to be cut free from a Subaru Impreza after being involved in a collision with a Vauxhall on the A6033 between Oxenhope and Hebden Bridge on Tuesday.

Emergency services, including fire crews from Haworth and Todmorden, were called out at 1.13pm, and closed the road after arriving.

The driver of the Subaru was complaining of neck pains, and firefighters cut the roof off the vehicle to get him out safely.

He was then taken to Calderdale Hospital, but his injuries were not life-threatening.
