Keighley’s Blockbuster store will shut as part of a phased closure programme during the next few weeks.

The Cavendish Street outlet is among 129 branches of the DVD and video games rental firm – which has gone into administration – being closed, it was announced this week.

Doomed stores will hold closing down promotions.

Joint administrators – Lee Manning, Matthew David Smith and Neville Kahn, of Deloitte – said they were continuing to review the profitability of the remaining stores and further closures may be announced in the coming weeks.
