Multi-use play area plans are unveiled to Braithwaite residents

Plans for a new multi-use play area in Braithwaite will be unveiled to residents tomorrow.

Proposed attractions include a playground, sports court, climbing wall, BMX track and skatepark.

The play zone will also have a viewing area, outdoor artwork, wildflowers and a dog walking area.

There will also be improvements to the path leading to the Cat Steps, which connect Braithwaite with Fell Lane. New facilities are planned for the site of an existing playground below North Dean Road houses, near the junction with Broster Avenue.

Plans will be on show at Foster Gardens Community Centre in Broster Avenue between 10am and 4pm tomorrow.

Residents will be able to pass on their ideas and concerns to Bradford Council officers and local volunteers, over tea and coffee.

Police and housing officers will visit homes across Braithwaite on the same day to talk about community safety and property issues.
