The jury in the trial of a man accused of beating a retired roofer in the street outside his home will today resume its deliberations at Bradford Crown Court.
Jurors spent yesterday afternoon considering their verdicts before being sent home at 4pm.
Ladislav Balaz, 22, of Samuel Street, Keighley, denies wounding Keith Alder with intent to cause him grievous bodily harm and being in possession of a baseball bat on October 22, 2011.
Mr Alder, 66, had to have both legs amputated after he was severely beaten and kicked outside his home in Sowden Street, Great Horton, Bradford.
He was knocked out, hit with baseball bats and kicked on the ground.
