Keighley MP wants horse meat culprits to face courts

Keighley’s MP said those responsible for passing off horse meat as beef products must be brought before the courts.
Speaking in the Commons, Kris Hopkins said: “People across West Yorkshire will be outraged horse meat has entered the food chain labelled as beef.”
He asked Food Minister David Heath: “Can you reassure consumers individuals carrying out this criminal activity will be prosecuted?”
Replying, Mr Heath said he also hoped the people responsible for the scandal would face the full force of the law.
