Owner of derelict Haworth mill seeks demolition help

The owner of a derelict former Haworth mill is looking for a developer to demolish it and build 54 houses in its place.
The former Ivy Bank Mill in Ivy Bank Lane, below, has stood as an empty shell since the 1970s. But Bradford Council last year approved in principle the building’s demolition to make way for two, three and four-bedroom houses.
Applicants KM Norris were last week granted full permission, and will now begin marketing the site to developers.
The company’s planning agent Mike Bottomley said: “There’s no developer attached to the scheme as yet, so timescales and start date will be dependent on market conditions.”
