Sight support display show at Keighley

Specialist equipment to help sight-impaired people will be on show at an exhibition in Keighley.

Hand-held and electronic magnifiers and special mobile phones and tablets will be among items available for visitors to try.

The March 14 event is being staged by sight airedale – formerly Keighley & District Association for the Blind – at the Lena Anderton Meeting Room in its centre at Scott Street, behind the library, from 10am to 3pm.

Also on hand will be a representative from the Macular Society, a national charity supporting people with central vision loss, who will provide information on its services.

Sight airedale supports 526 registered sight-impaired people in an area stretching from Bingley to Settle.
