Saddle up and help out Manorlands Oxenhope hospice

Manorlands is urging people to saddle up for a spring fundraiser.

The Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice is staging a second horse ride in the Yorkshire Dales.

It follows the success of last year’s Mount Up For Manorlands, which attracted more than 120 riders and raised in excess of £5,000.

The event, being held again at the Coniston estate near Skipton, takes place on May 26.

Riders can choose from three routes – all taking in tracks, quiet lanes and bridleways – with the option of tackling some fences used in annual Hunter Trials.

Sue Ryder regional fundraiser, Andrew Wood, said: “The feedback we received last year was fantastic so we are delighted, with the support of the Coniston Hotel and our event sponsor, Whitakers Animal Feeds, we are able to stage this once again. We hope it will be even bigger and better.”

Horses can be hired from Kilnsey Trekking Centre by calling 01756 753369.
