Honour for Lothersdale Paralympic star

Gold medal-winning Paralympic athlete Danielle Brown is to be granted the freedom of Craven district.
Danielle, from Lothersdale, will receive the award at Craven District Council’s annual meeting on May 14.
She is a world-leading archer in both Paralympic and able-bodied competition.
She won a team gold at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi in 2010, where she was the first disabled competitor to represent England in an able-bodied discipline.
And the former South Craven School pupil, who has reflex sympathetic dystrophy in her feet, represented Great Britain at the 2008 Beijing Paralympics and the London 2012 Paralympic Games, taking home a gold medal in both.
She is being granted the freedom of Craven together with Olympic medal-winning rower Andrew Triggs Hodge, from Hebden in North Yorkshire.
