Ear we go again in top Airedale Hospital audiologist’s fourth win

Senior audiologist Alan Walshaw has been commended for the fourth year running in a national competition.

Mr Walshaw, 45, who cares for patients with hearing difficulties at Airedale Hospital, has received a certificate of commendation for his achievement in the UK Audiologist of the Year awards.

He said: “Looking after someone’s hearing is a huge responsibility, and I am delighted to be thought of so fondly by my patients.”

The competition, run by hearing aid battery manufacturer Rayovac and industry publishing group Audio Infos, invites votes from patients across the country.
