Spine-chilling thriller surprise in Keighley

Thrill-seekers got more than they bargained for when they watched spine-chilling film The Woman in Black in Keighley.

The movie came to life as a shadowy figure crept up behind them and touched an unsuspecting viewer’s shoulder.

The rest of the audience during last week’s Keighley Film Club screening screamed and shrieked in terror.

But the woman was actually film club member Emma Worden, dressed in appropriately creepy clothing.

She said: “Once involved with this classic story, I had no trouble with nerves normally associated with stage fright.”

The well-attended screening at Central Hall was the latest of several organised by the club.

Next up is Ken Loach’s comedy The Angels Share, also at the Alice Street building, from 7pm on April 5. Tickets are £5 for members, £4 for non-members.
