‘Must visit’ Cullingworth website

Cullingworth councillors hope their new website will become a ‘must visit’ for all residents and village groups.

The site will cover council issues and forthcoming events, as well as offering individual pages to local organisations.

Residents will also be able to upload pictures of old Cullingworth to create a permanent gallery of historic images.

The website, replacing the out-of-date Cullingworth-Village site, has been designed by Councillor Howard Martin.

Fellow members have already tried out the site, and were last night expected to approve it going ‘live’.

Individual councillors will be able to regularly update sections relating to their individual responsibilities, while groups like Cullingworth Historical Society, the bowling club or the gala committee can update their own pages.

Coun Martin said: “We want it to be seen not just as a website for ourselves, the council, but for Cullingworth as a whole.”
