Cononley stables owner allowed to keep unauthorised sheds
11:00am Friday 6th September 2013 in Keighley
The owner of stables at Low Woodside Farm in Cononley has been allowed to keep unauthorised sheds, despite concerns it would develop into a business.
Craven District Council’s planning committee was told an application to retain the timber and metal extensions to stabling at the site had been brought to the meeting at the request of ward councillor, Mark Wheeler.
The meeting also heard from the farm’s immediate neighbour, who opposed the application on the grounds he felt the stables had grown out of all proportion and were in danger of becoming a business.
But councillors were advised although the structures were not of the highest quality, their impact was not great enough to justify a refusal of planning permission.
