Postal deliveries suspended to Keighley homes amid dog attack fears
9:00am Thursday 19th September 2013 in Keighley
Dozens of Keighley homes had their postal deliveries suspended for two weeks following fears of a potential dog attack.
The action affected 36 addresses in Rose Meadows, off Fell Lane.
But a spokesman for the Royal Mail said on Tuesday that it was about to resume deliveries.
She said: “The suspension was due to a dog roaming in the street and frightening our postlady who feared an attack.
“Deliveries have resumed as normal today, following assurances from a customer that their dog will be kept indoors until after the post has been delivered.”
One Rose Meadows resident, who didn’t want to be identified, said: “We’ve had no post delivered for two weeks. The inconvenience of collecting mail from the sorting office makes it feel as if all the people in Rose Meadows are being made to suffer.
