Keighley schools closed during action

A teachers’ strike caused major disruption to schools across Keighley district on Tuesday.
The NUT and NASUWT unions held a joint one-day strike throughout Yorkshire, the Midlands and eastern England in a row about changes to pensions.
More than a dozen schools in the Keighley and South Craven areas were shut, with some others only partially open.
Those closed were Aire View Infants School at Silsden, Cullingworth Village Primary School, Denholme Primary School, Eastburn Junior and Infant School, Holycroft Primary School in Keighley, Ingrow Primary School, Keighley St Andrew’s CE Primary School, Long Lee Primary School, St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School at Ingrow, Holy Family Catholic School and Worth Valley Primary School in Keighley.
In the South Craven area, Cononley, Glusburn and Sutton community primary schools were closed.
