A successful charity night in memory of a young Ingrow woman killed in a head-on car crash has raised £573.
Danielle Heggarty was 21 when she died as a result of the collision in Otley Road, High Eldwick, in December 2009.
Her sister, Charlotte, of Queen’s Road, and her friend Holly Milner, from Riddlesden, arranged the memorial fundraising night to collect cash for the Support and Care After Road Death and Injury charity.
The well-attended event was staged at the Cross Roads Inn on Saturday evening.
Charlotte, 23, said: “It was a brilliant night.
“There were more people there than I expected, and some of them were people I didn’t even know!
“My target had been to raise £500, so it was a really good night. My grandad drinks at the Cross Roads Inn, and we’d needed a venue that we could use for free.”
Entertainment included songs by local singer Amy Crowther, performances by the band We Are Atlas and a raffle. Further proceeds were raised via a collection bucket and by selling cakes.
