People are being urged to go to their family doctor this Christmas rather than queueing at Airedale Hospital’s accident and emergency department.
Several GP practices in Keighley are open on extra days thanks to additional funding from Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven Clinical Commissioning Group and NHS England.
Opening for extra mornings will be: Silsden Group Practice, December 28 and January 1; Ling House, Keighley, December 29; Farfield Group Practice, Keighley, December 28; Cross Hills Group Practice, December 28. Oakworth Medical Practice will be open on December 28 and 29, from 10am to 2pm.
Most GP practices are closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, but will be open on Christmas Eve, as well as on December 27, 30 and 31.
