A 41-year-old man has been found dead at a Keighley tower block.

The body of the man, whose name has not yet been released, was discovered in an 11th-floor flat at Delph House, Parkwood Rise, yesterday afternoon.

Police were alerted at 3.23pm.

Residents at the flats said the man had been visiting a couple who live at the address.

“The police came round yesterday evening and were asking if anyone had seen or heard anything during Saturday night between 10 and 11pm,” said one resident, who asked not to be named.

“I’ve been told it was someone who was paying a visit and didn’t live here.

“The man and woman who live there are a nice enough couple and always say ‘hello’ if you meet them in the lift or corridor.”

West Yorkshire Police confirmed there is an ongoing inquiry into the circumstances of the death and a post-mortem examination was due to be carried out today.

Bradford coroner’s office said that formal identification of the victim was due to take place tomorrow.
