South Craven householders, who have still to return electoral registration information to the district council, are being urged to do so as soon as possible.
Canvassers are making second visits to properties where residents have failed to submit their forms.
Craven Council’s electoral registration officer, Annette Moppett, said: “It is extremely important for people to register.
“The register not only gives people the chance to vote in elections, but is also checked by finance companies if you want – for example – a contract for a new mobile phone or to get a loan or mortgage.”
If there are no changes to the information, people can respond via freephone, the Internet, text or post.
E-mail elections@cravendc.gov.uk or call (01756) 706224 for further information or to receive help completing the form.
