Youngsters at Sutton Church of England Primary School have started to welcome some very special guests.
Members of the after-school gardening club – which was launched in September – have created a bug hotel from recycled material so they can get a close look at minibeasts.
They have also planted seeds and bulbs and have used donated Morrisons’ Let’s Grow vouchers to purchase a hedgehog house, potato barrel and wormery.
“We are looking forward to the spring when the garden comes alive again,” said teaching assistant Sarah Baker, who runs the club. “The children absolutely love getting involved.”
